Run your Agent on Fungi
Use Fungi's hosted models from your own host, or run Agents on Fungi.
Shiitake is the Agent runtime behind Fungi. You can use Fungi in two ways while keeping your own Shiitake host, or let Fungi host the Agent for you.
Use Fungi’s models from your own host
Section titled “Use Fungi’s models from your own host”Fungi exposes an OpenAI-compatible model endpoint for each Team. Your
self-hosted Shiitake can use it the way any other client does: make a Team
key in Fungi, then point a Pi openai-completions model at your Team’s
endpoint with that key as its API key. Usage is paid from your Team’s balance.
Call Fungi models with a Team key
shows how to make the key, find the endpoint and try it with curl.
Talk to Agents hosted on Fungi
Section titled “Talk to Agents hosted on Fungi”Fungi runs durable Agents for your Team. You talk to them in Grove and give them Computers, Apps and models. Fungi-hosted Agents load Fungi’s own extensions; an extension you write runs on a host you run, such as the Cloudflare host.
- Quickstart: sign in, make a Team and give your first Agent a job.
- Agents: what a Fungi Agent is.
- Use Shiitake from the terminal: the
fungiCLI, a local Agent that can use Fungi’s models.
